No experience needed. Here is the whole idea, in plain words.

What is a fantasy hockey league?

You and your friends each build a team of real NHL players. When your players get points in real games, your team gets them too. The most points wins.

What will I actually do?

You pick your players on draft night, then check in during the week: set your lineup, follow the standings, maybe try a trade. A few minutes at a time is plenty.

Is it hard?

No. Riser counts everything for you. There is no math to do and nothing to track by hand. If you can pick a favourite player, you can play.

Do I need to know every player?

No. The draft board shows who is available and how they have been doing. Plenty of people learn the players as the season goes.

Is it free?

Yes. Hosting and playing in leagues is completely free.

Are leagues private?

Yes. Every league is invite-only. Members join using a unique code or link that only you share.

Can I run a live draft?

Yes. Riser supports live snake drafts with a real-time board, countdown timer, and auto-pick fallback if someone is slow.

Can I schedule the draft in advance?

Yes. Commissioners can set a start time and the draft launches automatically at that time.

Can the commissioner manage other people's rosters?

Yes. Commissioners can add, drop, and manage any member's roster: useful for handling inactive members or correcting mistakes.

Can members join with a link?

Yes. Share your invite link or code and members can join the league directly from their browser.
